the framework of our popular PDG Shopping Cart software, PDG
Commerce is a robust e-commerce software solution for larger
enterprise e-commerce merchants. Offering the same unparalleled
stability and speed found in PDG Shopping Cart, PDG Commerce
includes commercial database support (Microsoft SQL, Microsoft
Access, mySQL, and others), adds the ability for consumers
to create and maintain accounts with your PDG Commerce enabled
Web store, and provides merchants with additional marketing
and discounting options. PDG Commerce incorporates all of
the features offered within PDG Shopping Cart, including complete
"end to end" functionality that will allow your
customers to browse available items, perform searches for
specific products, accumulate items within a basket, calculate
appropriate shipping and tax charges, pay for items via a
secure checkout, and much more. Even with the added power
of PDG Commerce, administration is still performed via a simple
easy-to-navigate Web based administration panel (see example
at right or click below to enter a live functional demo).
As with PDG Shopping Cart, a fully functional 30-day trial
is available for all new users and includes complimentary
installation to your Web site.
PDG Commerce gives merchants complete and total control
over every aspect of the shopping experience. Merchants
looking for a solution that does not require constant updating
of web pages as new products are introduced and older products
are removed can take advantage of PDG Commerce's StoreBuilder
functionality. StoreBuilder will automatically update each
of your product categories' catalogue pages to reflect changes
as they are made through the administration panel. For merchants
preferring to display products on static pages, or for webmasters
entering the e-commerce marketplace who already have web
sites displaying the products and simply want to add shopping
cart functionality, PDG Commerce can be embedded into any
existing pages. All dynamically generated pages produced
by PDG Commerce can be configured using any HTML editing
software to match the exact look and feel of your existing
site- including navigation menus, backgrounds, cascading
style sheets, javascripts, file/script includes, and more.
Users of Microsoft FrontPage and Macromedia Dreamweaver
can take advantage of free PDG plug-ins that assist in the
process of embedding PDG Commerce into your Web site.
