NetVIOS Description
|
NetVIOS is based on a complete
ASP component suite of functions forming a central website
base.
Some default applications come bundled with a NetVIOS
application. Additional NetVIOS compatible applications may
also be purchased and installed on the platform.
NetVIOS is based on a central group of component functions
resulting in an integrated environment in which applications
share functionalities and have a compatible look
The benefits of an integrated environment is quick deployment
of application and development. Every application does not
need to reinvent its own base functions such as user features,
help items and presentation features
The NetVIOS base functionalities include a powerful user system,
a template system, a resource system as well as a secure access
management system. These functions are described in greater
detail below.
The NetVIOS API is open allowing developers to create applications
for the platform. These applications take advantage of NetVIOS
features - integrated log in and user management, customizable
look and automatic compatibility with site look and feel,
and the help features
A NetVIOS installation comes with some free native applications
that will immediately enhance a website - an integrated site
messageboard, chat room, events manager, and news manager.

these applications
Works well with ASP or ASP.Net
A NetVIOS installation includes the following features and
sub functions.
User Management Features
Powerful site member generation and authentication scheme
Site members are declared and shared with every NetVIOS application
providing a single login point. No need to register or separately
logon and enter information for every application (chat room,
e-commerce store, messageboard, etc.)
Create one or several site user types with different profiles
or required information and access validation methods (supports
instant, email or admin activation of user accounts)
Designate a custom home page for each user type after login
Create several user roles and configure what information they
may access
Configure access to secure pages by user roles (you may designate
certain site users as message board managers or news creators
to share content generation responsibility and shared ownership
of site)
Send message to site users by individual, types or groups
Allow site members to send each other emails without necessarily
revealing email addresses.
